Blurry Photos

After I updated my phone to iPhone 17, it’s made all of my wallpaper photos blurry at the top, and the contact photos like this too. I really don’t like it how can I turn it off?

iPhone 12 Pro, iOS 17

Hello Annette_W,

The blurring you describe is actually expected behavior in iOS 17. This occurs when you change the perspective of the photo, either by zooming out or repositioning the subject of the photo on your screen.

While there isn't a way to turn this off currently, you can zoom in and reposition your image so it completely fills the entire screen. This will remove the blur from the photos.

And, if you'd like to see a change to this in the future, you can let the appropriate teams at Apple know here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
