Move formula bar in Numbers from the default "last place anyone would want it".

Trying to use Numbers after years of Excel and Google sheets, but the default placement of the formula right on top of the cell....? Who thought this was a good idea?

I gotta think i'm not alone in my formulas frequently (nearly always) using adjacent cells, so having the formula bar blot out the cell I want to use....just, why?

Does anyone at Apple ever use Numbers?

(And yes, I know I can move and drag the formula bar, but that's pretty tiresome every. single. time. I create a formula.)

Is there a way to put the formula bar anywhere other than directly over the cells I want to reference?)

No, but I sympathise with you!

Apple development teams do not participate in these forums.

You can provide feedback to Apple in Menu > Numbers > Provide Numbers Feedback.

In the Pop-Up Menu > Feedback Type, choose Feature Request. Tell them where you want the formula editor to appear, and how that will help other users.

You may not get a reply, but Apple will read your feedback.

I, too, sympathize. I got used to it after a while and it became habit to simply move it when necessary. Numbers '09 was the last version to have the formula bar in the toolbar, like Excel. Then they redesigned the app completely. It's been ten (?) years since that major redesign and I still miss the features they changed and deleted.
