Can you offer a bit more detail on this?

  • What is the model of your MacBook Pro and MacBook Air?
  • What MacOS are you running on each of the above?
  • (Apple menu-->About This Mac will provide the first two questions)
  • What are you trying to do by connecting the two together? Are you trying to use Migration Assistant to transfer from one to the other, or are you simply trying to transfer individual files?
  • Are you connecting via WiFi, Ethernet cable, or Thunderbolt cable? (If connecting via Thunderbolt cable, are you certain you're using the correct type of cable?)
