can i upgrade my macbook pro 15,1 ram from 8GB to 16gb?

I have a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015), with 8GB of 1866MHz LPDDR3 onboard memory (configurable to 16GB).

Can I replace the two 4GB RAM cards with two 8GB RAM cards?

No, but it might not have helped anyway.

It's very easy to determine if your Mac's performance is being limited by available memory. Please read Check if your Mac needs more RAM in Activity Monitor - Apple Support. If the "Memory Pressure" graph is frequently "red" your Mac would benefit from additional memory. If not, it won't. It's that simple.
