Two login profiles (main & guest)

I have an Air and an issue. How can I get both the main user/password AND the guest user to pop up simultaneously on a Mac restart (or shutdown). I would like to display both login options at the same time. (I have already created a guest user and have the latest OS.) Currently, when I turn on my machine, I can only get the main user/password OR (if I set it this way) the guest user. As I mentioned, I would like both circles to appear simultaneously as a choice.

Thank you if you can help!

Hi Ingo2711,

Yes, I did disable the auto login, but that didn’t fix the problem. Right now, I have it set to login as the guest, but this doesn’t solve my problem, as I have to log out as the guest to bring up my main user/password. (My Air is being used by a family member which is why I want both choices to pop up together.) Thank you!

Thanks again, Ingo 2711. I have a Mac book pro that’s about 7 years old, and I have no trouble getting the main user and guest to pop up together after a restart or shutdown. The problem is with my new(er) Air. Maybe that’s no longer possible (although I don’t know why that would be). Right now, I’ve set the Air to log in as a guest, but to access my stuff, I have to log out as a guest. I’ve wondered if anyone else had experienced this. Guess I’ll call Apple support. Thanks for your help!
