After upgrading to macOS Sonoma 14.0, the OS started reacting to the middle mouse button

Until yesterday, I used to hold down the middle button and move my Gembird Bluetooth mouse in Fusion 360 to move the 3D view. Then I upgraded to macOS Sonoma 14.0, and the same actions now perform "Swipe between full screen apps" and "Flight Control" actions. Holding down the middle button for about ½ second performs "Show desktop" action.

How do I make the OS stop responding to the middle mouse button?

P. S. Just checked: the same problem also occurs with wired Logitech mouse.

P. P. S. There are options to make the "3rd mouse button" to perform "Mission Control", "Application Window" and "Show Desktop" actions in Desktop & Dock -> Shortcuts, but they were off by default. I tried to turn them on, exit the Settings, the turn them off and exit the Settings again, but it did not help.

A standard Bluetooth mouse supports the standard Bluetooth HID profile and therefore does not need any driver for basic functionality in any OS. Also, a standard USB mouse supports the standard USB class and therefore does not need any driver for basic functionality in any OS (you have noticed my PS about the fact that USB mouse from different manufacturer has exactly the same issue with the new OS, right?)
