APPLE TV 4K compression issues

I have Apple TV 4K’s on all

my TV’s and no matter what I do, the horrendous compression, pixelation, and delayed loading issues cannot be fixed. I have adjusted the Apple TV, traded out HDMI cables, adjusted my TV’s, my router, and to no avail… cannot be fixed. Then when I shut off the Apple TV 4K and used the smart tv apps directly on my tv vs the actual Apple TV 4K… No issues. The problem is the Apple TV 4K.

I want to use the Apple TV for all of my apps and media content, but it is really annoying that I purchased 5 of these Apple TV’s and now I don’t want to use them because they have terrible picture quality and are not compatible.

Please verify what bandwidth these Apple TV boxes can get through your home network. I’m thinking it is somehow not getting what it should get — but verify. Use the Speedtest app on Apple TV for this. It is important to measure on the end device to include all possible local factors that can diminish the bandwidth. The Apple TV box should get at least 25 Mbps for 4K HDR content.

Is the Apple TV box on Wi-Fi or ethernet? Can you try the other?

Does this issue happen with all apps? Can you name an app that shows this issue every time?

I ran the speed test and get 442mbps.

Thanks for testing. Those numbers are more than sufficient for playback use. Excellent.

It happens in most any media streaming app, from Netflix, YouTube Tv, Amazon, etc.

That obviously shouldn’t happen. At this time, I would suggest to contact an expert from the Apple Support staff for further assistance. Contact Apple for support and service (phone numbers) or start your support request online (chat/email/callback). Good luck!

This product for Apple TV4K is the most malfunctioning incompatible product of their entire line of products. I continue to have compression issues. Called Apple and unfortunately they are of absolutely no help. This seems to be an issue with the Apple TV product for over a year from many customers. Though Apple suggests they are working on it, they are moving at a snails pace. Meanwhile, I have purchased four of these useless AppleTv4k. You just cannot watch anything on tv using this product unless you are willing to deal with compression, pixelation, bandwidth issues (all apple tv, not the fault of any other components, ALL APPLE TV). I have tried almost everything to troubleshoot. End up just watching the download apps on my LG and Samsung tv’s vs using the Apple TV, as there is 0.0 issue with using apps -You Tube Tv, Hulu, Netflix, Amazon, and many many more. I have been an apple

supporter and defended the brand and I now just cannot do it anymore. Consistent issues with their products lately, just beside myself, and with the ticket they charge on this product, just overwhelming disappointed.

Try taking the ATV to a friend who has AT&T - that will at least eliminate your ISP.

Looks like an ISP issue to me, meaning they are up to no good. Where are you located and who's your ISP provider? Never mind how the preloaded Apps on your TV work, irrelevant. They are Smart for a reason...
