Unable to sign-in to Apple TV+

I’m trying to login to my Apple TV+ on my Roku tv I just get a spinning wheel forever and it will not load. We’ve exited, restarted the tv, restarted the router. We just watch Apple TV+ 2 days ago with no issues. All of a sudden it logged me out and won’t let me (or anyone) even attempt logging back in. I even tried to sign up for a 3 month trial and that wouldn’t load either.

I additionally tried unplugging the Roku and now it works. I had previously tried deleting app, unplugging modem and TV, and Ethernet cable, reconnect to internet,reload app to no avail, so additionally unplugging Roku power cord seemed to be necessary step I wasn’t doing before. Pretty unbelievably laborious and bad. Wasted an hour of time at least over a couple of days. Apple TV app wins worst streaming app in my annual streaming service awards. Get more compatible with the world Apple.

I've tried all of these suggestions and none have worked. It started out that I could get to the home screen but just not get any programs to open. But now that I've removed and reloaded the app, I can't even get to the sign-in screen. Just a continuous death spiral. It's been a couple days now, so it's not fixing itself. And per someone's suggestion to connect with Apple Staff, there is not a menu option to talk about the app (just the Apple TV hardware). Ugh.

None of this works (reset app, reload app, reboot modem etc.). I’ve tried twice. Talked to Apple Support on phone and they could offer no other solution. It works on my analog TV with Roku and iPad but will not rectify problem on Samsung Smart Tv with top level Roku device. Just get the rotating waiting wheel on a gray screen when I hit the app’s login button. Other apps work on TV. I like Apple TV programs but the only solution seems to be to cancel my subscription.

it wont let me log in to https://tv.apple.com/. It is stuck on the main page, can't click the person symbol in the up right corner to log in or click a particular show.

Which computer OS version and which browser are you using?

Apple recommends Chrome or Firefox for web access. Watch in a web browser - Apple Support

The original question was about Roku. Your issue might be different.

Please don’t try to use TV browsers for this service, that is not supported. Instead get the Apple TV app edition for your model smart TV, if supported.

Is this for a new Apple ID account, or an account that is known to be fully functional already (with a linked valid payment method)?
