I can't log in to Apple TV with my new LG C3, the app downloads and it brings up apple but will not let me sign in, just spins. No error code nothing. Have a LG C2 works fine and works on two Roku sets in the house. I have reloaded and rebooted. Nothing works.

Sooo....it now works, I had update LG TV software after installing all apps EXCEPT AppleTV. The most recent LG upgrade was not good. Had a friend that had just bought the exact same TV and AppleTV worked fine right off the bat. Sooo today I went into setting's on LG C3 and "RESET" to original state. Reloaded all the apps including AppleTV and everything works fine now. Moral of the story is I reckon, do not update LG right away, and go into LG settings so auto updates do not happen. I won't be updating LG software again until i can confirm it works. Lesson learned and many hours of wasted time. Thanks to all who replied for your time. As it is valuable.

Have you checked for TV system software updates? Such might include bug fixes and app compatibility improvements. Especially for newer models, a few improvements may be made shortly after release, that weren’t included at the factory.
Have you tried deleting and re-installing the Apple TV app?

Do you get the app’s content screen with show tiles and the sidebar menu? Or not even that?
Thanks its fixed, they suggested to change the DNS server under the wifi settings to 8.8.8.8 and that did the trick
Go to LG chat support they will walk you thru it, takes about 30 minutes and now I have it all working fine and smooth.
See if there are known outages. Not sure if this site is localized, but I assume so. System Status - Apple Support

How odd. Not sure how that could be. At this time, I would suggest to contact an expert from the Apple Support staff for further assistance. Contact Apple for support and service (phone numbers) or start your support request online (chat/email/callback).
Mostly my fault i reckon, went to LG Chat support about 30 minutes, very precise instructions, worked like a charm all is well and AppleTV and LG are working fine for me now. I guess the moral of the story is go to support right away.
Hi, I do get this screen but when go to login, it just spins, never connects. Never brings up a login screen for password and login. I have checked have current LG software release, removed appletv and reinstalled, same scenerio.
And as a follow up it doesn't work at all. Works fine on C2 I have, A2, and two roku's. appletv for 2 week old c3 is non functional. worked for about an hour, will occasionally load the home page and a commercial for an upcoming show and fails to load the requested show. disappointing.
