Help removing Apple 8 Watch screen protector
I bought a new Apple Watch a few weeks ago, and as it do with all of my other devices, I wanted a screen protector for it. Cutting to the chase, I came across a 3-pack of screen protectors for my Apple Watch series 8. Of course, it was on Amazon. It had over 120k worldwide reviews and a rating of 4.5. I was convinced and bought them for $12+. The saying that you get what you pay for is appropriate in this instance.
It was fine at first until about 4 days ago when I noticed that the screen was cracked. I had not dropped, hit, or otherwise did a thing to cause the breakage —nothing. Well, I have to say that I am always looking for a good glue product. I just never expected to find it in my new screen protector.
I thought, “Okay, I will just put on another one. Easy.” Well, not so much. I have been trying to remove this thing for almost 3 days but it is literally stuck like glue! Nothing will get beneath this thing. I've managed to remove about 1/3 of it, and I have the torn fingernails to show for it. I have also tried toothpicks, a blow dryer, water, and more. I can not get it off and worse, the face of my new watch looks awful. It is covered in glue remnants, so although I see no cracks to the actual watch face, I can not tell if there is any other damage.
Can anyone suggest other ways to remove this thing? I would deeply appreciate it. I can say one thing, and that is, if my watch gets through this intact, l will not buy another “no-name” screen protector to replace this one. I have learned my lesson. Thanks.
