Help removing Apple 8 Watch screen protector

I bought a new Apple Watch a few weeks ago, and as it do with all of my other devices, I wanted a screen protector for it. Cutting to the chase, I came across a 3-pack of screen protectors for my Apple Watch series 8. Of course, it was on Amazon. It had over 120k worldwide reviews and a rating of 4.5. I was convinced and bought them for $12+. The saying that you get what you pay for is appropriate in this instance.

It was fine at first until about 4 days ago when I noticed that the screen was cracked. I had not dropped, hit, or otherwise did a thing to cause the breakage —nothing. Well, I have to say that I am always looking for a good glue product. I just never expected to find it in my new screen protector.

I thought, “Okay, I will just put on another one. Easy.” Well, not so much. I have been trying to remove this thing for almost 3 days but it is literally stuck like glue! Nothing will get beneath this thing. I've managed to remove about 1/3 of it, and I have the torn fingernails to show for it. I have also tried toothpicks, a blow dryer, water, and more. I can not get it off and worse, the face of my new watch looks awful. It is covered in glue remnants, so although I see no cracks to the actual watch face, I can not tell if there is any other damage.

Can anyone suggest other ways to remove this thing? I would deeply appreciate it. I can say one thing, and that is, if my watch gets through this intact, l will not buy another “no-name” screen protector to replace this one. I have learned my lesson. Thanks.

Hey lmwright1967,

We're grateful that you posted here so we can help you figure this out.

Based on the issue you described, we would like to recommend that you contact the manufacturer of the screen protector. They are going to be the best resource for troubleshooting issues with their products and they should be in a good position to share some helpful suggestions. In many cases, you can find contact information for the manufacturer on the original store listing for that product or perhaps on the sales invoice provided by the seller.

We hope this does the trick for you!

Cheers.
