Apple pencil warranty
Apple pencil is inoperative and will not pair with ipad. how do i get the serial number to check on the warranty?

I removed tip and under the magnifier I found no serial number on the inside.
exactly where is this engraved ?
Surely Apple has record of the s/n, since I purchased through Apple and am paying monthly installments.
How difficult could this be ?
