Can't select input fileds or change URL in Chrome or Brave after installing Sonoma 14.0

Since I have installed the new update for mac i.e Sonoma 14.0 the browsers like Google Chrome and Brave and not functioning well. In the browser sometimes the input fields or any options are not being selected for example if you make a manual change in URL in the browser after sometime the whole taskbar get locked we can't select or modify anything. This problem is majorly seen when the applications are in Full Screen Mode. Once the Full Screen Mode is removed the applications are working fine. For Example, Just now I was using Youtube in Full Screen Mode I was unable to pause the video with a click in the center or the play/pause option was also not clickable once I exited Full Screen Mode from keyboard it started working fine. This is a high severity bug please try to resolve it soon.

Hello rushikesh88,

To start off, we advise that you restart your Mac (Shut down or restart your Mac) and make sure it's fully updated (Update macOS on Mac). There are incremental updates offered frequently after a major macOS update is released. Once those are done, please test this issue.

If the issue persists, continue by testing to see when this behavior occurs. First, put your Mac into safe mode and test. Booting into safe mode will disable any startup and login items from automatically opening, which can help us to isolate the source of the issue further. When you do this, you’ll see some unusual behavior from the display; this is to be expected. Please follow the steps in this article: How to use safe mode on your Mac.

Next, let's see if this behavior persists in a new user account on your Mac. Testing in a new user will determine if you have a system-wide issue or if it's user-specific. Please follow these steps to make a test account that can be deleted later: Change Users & Groups settings on Mac. Once the new user account has been set up, log out of your own account then into the new one to test the issue.

Let us know how this goes, please. Thanks and take care.

I have encountered the same problem after updating my MacBook Air Retina, 13-inch, 2020, 1.1 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5, to macOS saoma 14.0. Sometimes, in the Chrome browser, I am unable to click on links as they appear inactive. Additionally, I can't select input fields except by using the keyboard; the cursor doesn't seem to respond, as if there's no field or link present. Occasionally, refreshing the page helps, but this is rarely effective; the issue persists across different websites.

Has anyone already reported this error to Apple, or how can I find out if it has been registered, or submit a request in the hope that it will be fixed?
