As @brbo stated, Chase requires Safari version 16. If you are indeed using macOS Catalina and that your Mac cannot be updated, Safari is only available as version 15.6.1.

One solution is to install Firefox: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/. This version is compatible with macOS Catalina and, more importantly, with Chase.

For information, to install macOS Big Sur, the version that comes after macOS Catalina, you would need to have an iMac mid-2014 or later. You can check that by going to  > About this Mac. If that's the case, use the link in this document to download macOS Big Sur: How to download and install macOS - Apple Support. Note that macOS Big Sur uses Safari 16.6.1 which is compatible with Chase.

Hi Ronmancuso

welcome to the Apple (user-to-user) Community!

Re: "my Mac is up to date according to everything".

So am assuming you have MacOS Sonoma installed, or the newest compatible MacOS for your iMac (model?)

(or Find out which macOS your Mac is using - Apple Support)

(How to: Identify your iMac model - Apple Support)

We are all Apple users, like yourself in the Community. We have no access to your details. Apple is not here.

We'd like to help however, yet we do not have much info. to go on ... not even Mac Model and MacOS version.

"Now it is saying to update my browser"

Wondering :

what happens when you try ... (eg: an error message which would help troubleshoot, a lost log-in or password)

and

what you have already tried in order to solve the situation (eg: contacted Chase: which browser they require)

(Apple's current Safari browser is Safari Version 17:

If you want to double-check your Safari's version: Click Safari in top menu bar > About Safari)

Just checked Chase website : Re browsers :

Chase says: For questions or concerns, please contact Chase customer service

All the best :-)
