Searching for specific words in text messages

This feature is terrible on the iPhone 15. I cannot find most of the things I am looking for when using the search feature in the text messages. This was never a problem in the past and I have not changed how I’m searching for information. Has something changed or do I need to do something differently to find specific words in my text messages?

Hello again Brookewithane,

Can you confirm if the iPhone 15 has adequate storage space for all of the new messages? This article can help: How to check the storage on your iPhone and iPad - Apple Support. If there is inadequate space (like if your older iPhone has a larger hard drive than your newer one and is filling up), the messages may not be fully downloaded. Can you see the actual messages themselves in the Messages app when you open the conversation history?

Let us know a bit more and we'll continue to help. Thanks.

Yes, I switched from an iPhone 13 to an iPhone 14. I was able to find what I needed when searching my text messages on both of those phones. The issue is only on the iPhone 15. Yes, my message history came in on those phones, including the iPhone 15. It’ll pull information from five years ago, but doesn’t pull a message. I’ve tried to find from a week ago. It’s never done that before until I got the iPhone 15.
