Is there a way to clear iOS calendar inbox?

I just added my work calendar account and now have a bunch of items in the calendar inbox after it was done syncing, but they're events that have occurred in the past. It looks like the only options are to accept/tentatively accept/decline the invites, however, I don't want the meeting owners to receive replies for these meetings that have occurred in the past. Is there any other way to clear these?
