Health App records workout calories (red ring) but not workout time (green ring)

Hi! My wife is using "Workout for Women: Fitness App" and set all things to let the App communicate with Health. Health app correctly records the calories she burns every workout (so the red ring advances) but don't record the time she spends doing those workouts (so the green ring is still at 0).

Example: today she did 30 minutes workout and consumed 400 calories.

In Health app the workout is regularly shown. Calories burnt: 400. Minutes of workout: 0.

Can someone help me with this issue? I read other people had the same issue with several apps but I couldn't find how to resolve this.

Thanks

Hello il Moro,

The first thing we want to note is that you don't mention your wife is using an Apple Watch for her workouts. She would need to use an Apple Watch to receive Exercise credit, not just an iPhone. If she is using an Apple Watch, Exercise credit is calculated specifically and separately than just from a workout per se. Here is useful information about tracking Exercise minutes with an Apple Watch and how to get more accurate readings: Get the most accurate measurements using your Apple Watch

Make sure that you earn Move and Exercise credit

Every full minute of movement that equals or exceeds the intensity of a brisk walk counts toward your daily Exercise and Move goals. With Apple Watch Series 3 or later, your cardio fitness levels are used to determine what is brisk for you. For wheelchair users, this is measured in brisk pushes. Any activity below this level counts only toward your daily Move goal.
To make sure that you earn Exercise credit during walks, allow the arm with your Apple Watch to swing naturally. For example, while walking your pet, let the arm with your watch swing freely while the other holds the leash.
If you need both hands while walking, for example to push a stroller, you can still earn Exercise credit with the Workout app. Open the app on your Apple Watch and tap Outdoor Walk. The Activity app relies on arm motion and an accelerometer to track movement, but the Workout app can use the accelerometer, the heart rate sensor, and GPS.

Doing a workout using a third-party fitness app might not track Exercise minutes depending on the type of workout. She would need to use the built-in Workout app on her Apple Watch to ensure that metric is tracked accurately.

We hope this information helps.

Take care.
