Safari crashes instantly on launch

Was dealing with internet issues earlier, and ended up closing /restarting my MacBook Pro with a handful of open Safari windows. Got the internet issues resolved and restarted my MPB. BUT: Safari crashes almost instantly on launch. A window flashes for 1/10 of a second that shows a gray screen with "Favorites" and "Frequently Visited" text labels but nothing else. It won't even present the error log window that it first was showing a few second after the app crashes.

Tried rebooting in Safe Mode - same result.

running 13.3.1 (a) (22E772610a) and I have no way of getting back to Safari, where I have all my bookmarks, passwords, and more. Help.

Hi Douglas,

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities! Since Safari is quitting at launch, we suggest following the guidance here as it can resolve this issue: If an app on your Mac stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open. You can also hold down the Shift key on your keyboard as you click to open Safari. This will clear out the caches and open windows in case on of the windows is causing that behavior.

Hope that helps!
