Hey PearBear22,
If you haven't already, make sure your iPhone has the latest software version installed. The latest version is 17.0.3 and can be found in Settings > General > About. If the iPhone is not up-to-date, follow the steps below to backup and update to it. You can also review the steps here: Update your iPhone or iPad.
1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.
5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.
If the cables are not Apple branded or Apple certified, we recommend testing with one that is Apple branded/certified: Identify counterfeit or uncertified Lightning connector accessories. Also, make sure the power adapter that is being used is Apple branded/certified and the correct watt(W): About Apple USB power adapter.
If you're unable to resolve the issue with the information above, we suggest contacting Apple Support here: Get Support They will help look into this further with you.
Take care
