Floating Search Icon

I rarely use my phone for browsing websites coz I use my computer for that matter, and today I just noticed something a bit odd when browsing a specific website. There’s this “magnifying glass” icon that shows up and stays where it is no matter how you scroll down the page. When clicked, it’s apparently a search window where you can type and search words or things on that specific website. It’s annoying though coz it stays right there and there seems to be no option to remove it. I’m using chrome browser and checked browser settings and such but no luck. Anyone have any idea on how to disable this?

I asked the website admin and I was told it’s definitely not a feature or an addon they have on their site.

Attached is a screenshot showing what it looks like.

Hello GhonKurapikaKillua,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Are you able to replicate this issue when using Safari instead of Chrome? Just to confirm, are you experiencing this behavior with one website or multiple?

If you only experience this behavior with Google Chrome, it's likely a Chrome feature. We'd recommend reaching out to their support: How to contact an app developer.

If not, please provide us with more information, and we'll go from there.

Kind regards.
