AirPods Pro 2 USB-C: Display and Functionality Concerns with iPhone X

Hello everyone!

I am experiencing some issues with my newly purchased AirPods Pro 2 with USB-C.

No image of the AirPods appears anywhere, even when I open the case lid or go to the AirPods settings. Secondly, the name of the AirPods doesn't appear; instead, "ACCESSORY_" is displayed.

I am using an iPhone X, and when I pair them, it also states that the functionality of the AirPods will be limited due to a software update.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

Thanks for reaching out unrealahmad,

It sounds like you're having some concerns about how your AirPods are being displayed on your iPhone, and that a software update might be related to those concerns. We can help.

If you are on an older version of iOS, you may not see the same displays, or have the same functionality as those on the current software. Your device can update to the latest public release of the software, which is currently iOS 17.0.3.

Here's how: Update iOS on iPhone.

If you continue having issues after updating, you can connect with Apple directly using either Get Support or if you're in a region without direct support options, you can also Contact Apple for support and service.

Hope that helps.

Take care.
