Express pay & Opal Sydney not working

Months ago i found out about express card to tap on/off at Opal readers on Sydneys public transport. For the first while it worked like a charm, but about 1-2 months ago it started to play up. More than half the time the express pass doesn’t come up when i place to phone at the reader. It’s getting so annoying and taking more time than just going the ‘old way’ of unlocking the phone

express transit not working I’ve used express transit in Japan for Suica with my iphone 12 for weeks now. After I updated my phone to ios16, it has stopped working. I checked that my express transit was on, and i’ve deleted the card and put it in again in my wallet and it still asks for my password every time. Express transit not working on London Tube Express transit not recognized at card reader. If I unlock my phone I can use Apple Pay with the same Amex card I have set up for Express Transit but I have to unlock phone, double click for Apple Pay, use face recognition and then touch phone to reader. This defeats the purpose of Apple Express Transit. I am visiting from US. It is as if phone does not recognize this as a transit charge. Express transit works flawlessly on New York City subways. Any suggestions?

Contactless payments don't work on iPhone 13 After iOS Update Hello, Since updating to iOS 18.3.1, I've been unable to make contactless payments with my iPhone 13. Previously, there were no such issues. Even after updating to iOS 18.4, the problem persists. The issue arises in stores when I double-click and it prompts me to "hold near reader", but the reader fails to recognize any of my cards. I should mention my iPhone was designed for the Chinese market, and I currently reside in the EU. However, I don't believe this is related to the issue, as NFC technology is standardized and I experienced no problems before the iOS 18.3.1 update.
