messages not working on MacBook Air

I have not been able to receive text messages on my Macbook Pro for the past ten days. Messages come to my iPhone11 just fine. It is not consistent though. I have been able to receive some messages, but only a small percentage.

The most obvious thing to look at is to verify that you're using the same Apple ID on all your devices, including your MacBook Air.

You'll want to make sure that all your phone numbers and email addresses are listed as a means of contacting/sending in Messages. Here's an Apple Support article that describes how: Add or remove your phone number in Messages or FaceTime - Apple Support

Sometimes things get hung up when it comes to iCloud. To possibly reset them, try signing out of your Apple ID on your Mac's Messages app, then signing back in.

Hopefully this will help.
