1st gen iphone se is losing battery quick and really laggy

I got my battery replaced a few months ago. In settings it still says that battery capacity is 100%. Recently, it’s been losing charge really quick and the FPS and input lag is really bad when it get below 50%. Does anyone know what could be happening?

Why is my iphone SE getting very slow? Over the last few months, my iPhone SE that I bought around 4 years ago has started to get very slow at times, particularly when using the camera (but other apps e.g. Reminders too), sometimes to the point of completely freezing. It has 128 GB capacity with 80.5 GB available, and I keep it full up to date with software. Switching off and on again does not solve the issue. I was wondering whether the battery health could be the issue, and whether it would therefore be worth investing £60+ in a new battery, or whether I need a new phone. Before I fork out for new battery, I was wondering if anyone could tell me the likelihood of this fixing the problem. Currently the battery health is 78% max capacity (and Apple recommend I replace it), but I wonder whether this would only help with length of time between charges, and not the speed of the phone, as "Peak Performance Capability" is displayed in the Battery Health and Charging section, which I understand indicates that the battery is currently supporting normal peak performance, and there is no throttling going on. Any advice much appreciated, thank you!

Battery and Performance Issues with My iPhone Dear Apple Support, I purchased my iPhone about a month and a half ago, but I am already experiencing serious issues with it. The battery drains unusually fast and does not last nearly as long as I would expect from a new device. In addition, the phone frequently lags – apps open slowly, sometimes crash, and the whole system occasionally freezes. Since this is a relatively new device, I believe these problems are not normal. I would like to request assistance in resolving the issue, whether through diagnostics, repair, or replacement, depending on your team’s assessment.
