All QR code take me to qr.codes and ask for payment

in the last couple weeks all the QR codes I have scanned through my iphone camera take me to either qr.codes or qr.link (both powered by QR.io) and ask me to pay. I looked and found a QR reader app on my phone, so I deleted it, but all QR codes still direct me to an QR.io website and ask for payment. I also tried scanning through the google app on my phone, same thing happened. I have power cycled the phone as well. Any other suggestions?

Hey cepick,

If you haven't already, double check to be sure you deleted the QR app from your iPhone and didn't select "Remove from Home Screen".

We'd also like to know if the same behavior occurs if you scan the QR code from Control Center: Scan a QR code with your iPhone camera - Apple Support

"Go to Settings > Control Center, then tap next to Code Scanner.
Open Control Center, tap the Code Scanner, then position iPhone so that the code appears on the screen.
To add more light, tap the flashlight to turn it on."

After much more trying different things, I finally figured out the flyer I had been given to leave feedback for a tour contributed to the problem. They may have used the same program as I had, not sure, but once I found a new QR code to work with as a test, and confirmed the program was in fact gone, now my camera is reading QR codes normally again. Much appreciation for your time and suggestions, it got me on the right path to finally solve the issue.
