OK --so what's the app? What re you trying to accomplish? An update or sorts?

If an App Won't Open:

A. Single-Out this User:

Create a new administrator user, and see if you get this error. If you do, then it is likely an issue of the macOS as a whole. If you do not get this issue, then is it likely an issue with the users your are using while reporting this.

B. Boot into Safe Mode:

See what happens when you attempt this in Safe Mode: [Hold Down: the shift key upon boot.]. In Safe Mode, login items do not open at log in, and certain preferences are set aside, and damaged system files (made by caches) are set aside. So, see if you can load these while in safe mode.

C. Reset the SMC and your NVRAM:

Sometimes when changes are made to the system(i.e. uninstallations), system configurations (i.e. for Ports) become manipulated, technically. So, reset the SMC and NVRAM. Try performing each thrice. It may take sometime, being certain you have the time to perform these resets.

D. Contacting the Developer:

You can contact the Developer, asking them for assistance with them. You'll find their Contact Us info in the app's site of the App Store.

E. Report this to Apple:

Do your Part: Provide Apple with feedback on this, letting them know about this issue.  Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what bug fixes to include in updates to come.

  1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
  2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
  3. Comment: that this all began after installing an update. Include the URL of this post.
  4. Proceed from there as necessary
