Until about a month ago when downloading pictures from iCloud to my PC they came down as a JPG files.
Now when they are downloaded as HEIC without me having changed any settings. I am requested to buy the app HVEC Video Extention to be able to download the picture - but they are not videos, they are pictures.
Please advice :-)

It works - thanks. I see Apple added one more step though as before I I would simply right click the photo in iCloud.com and would be asked where to save the .JPEG photo.
