Hi rivery,

Thanks for contacting Apple Support Communities!

We understand that you're using your iPhone to set up your HomePod and you're unable to complete setup due to an error.

If you haven't already, you may consider forgetting your Wi-Fi network then reconnect to your Wi-Fi network and try to set up your HomePod again as outlined here: If you can't set up HomePod or HomePod mini - Apple Support

"If you have a different HomePod setup issue

Check if you can set up your HomePod after each step:

  1. Forget the Wi-Fi network on your iPhone or iPad, then reconnect to the network.
  2. Make sure your iPhone or iPad has the Home and Apple Music apps. If you deleted these apps, go to the App store, search for the apps, and tap the Redownload button .
  3. Turn on Bluetooth in the Settings app.
  4. In the Settings app, tap [your name] > Password & Security and turn on Two-Factor Authentication.
  5. In the Settings app, tap [your name] > iCloud and turn on Passwords and Keychain.
  6. If you previously added accessories to the Home app, sign in to iCloud on your iPhone or iPad with the Apple ID that matches your home owner ID. To check your home owner ID, open the Home app, tap the More button , tap Home Settings, then tap your name.
  7. If you previously added accessories to the Home app, connect your iPhone or iPad to the same Wi-Fi network as your accessories. To check which Wi-Fi network your accessories are connected to, open the Home app, tap an accessory, tap the Settings button , and scroll down to Wi-Fi Network."

We hope this helps you.

Take care!
