adobe reader poster option using mac sonoma

I have a large pattern that I want to print using the "poster" option in Adobe Reader. This option is not available in Preview.

I'm running Mac Sonoma. The "poster" option is greyed out in Adobe reader, so I can't print out my document

actual size.

The actual size patterns are printable in Windows computers using Adobe Reader.

How can I get the poster option to work on the Mac with Sonoma?

Thanks

as of now, December 30 2023, this feature still doesn't seem to work. I was trying to print a template that would cover 8 A4 pages when printed but the button is just greyed out (I downloaded Acrobat Reader on my sister's windows laptop and the 'poster' works perfectly fine on there). I hope this can be resolved soon because (from my experience) it is so much harder connecting a windows computer to a printer than a Mac is.
