My phone will not text through the phone number. It only text through an email. My Gmail
I have taken it to the carrier AT&T and also Best Buy geek squad. They can’t figure it out.

You can follow these instructions to get your phone number added for iMessage:
Add or remove your phone number in Messages or FaceTime - Apple Support
If you see any error messages, the troubleshooting suggestions here may help:
If you can’t turn on or sign in to iMessage or FaceTime on your iPhone - Apple Support
If the messages that will not send are SMS messages (green bubble), then this must be resolved by your wireless carrier.
