Hey Stupidapplee,

It sounds like you have already performed most of the steps in If you see No Service, Searching, or SOS on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Just to make sure you cover all your bases, we recommend that you check for a carrier settings update and connect with your carrier to confirm expected coverage and any potential issues with your account or network.

Check for a Carrier Settings update
To manually check for and install a carrier settings update:
1. Make sure that your device is connected to a Wi-Fi or cellular network.
2. Tap Settings > General > About. If an update is available, you'll see an option to update your carrier settings.
3. To see the version of carrier settings on your device, tap Settings > General > About and look next to Carrier.
If you insert a new SIM card into your iPhone or iPad, you need to download the carrier settings for your new carrier.

If you're still experiencing issues with your cellular data connection and loading content, connect with Apple Support over the phone. They will typically have the best tools and resources to troubleshoot an issue with one of their products. You can set up a call from the Get Support portal in most countries.

Kindest Regards.

The new eSIM for me appears to have helped. I was able to stream audio over cellular on a walking path that normally would have frequent drops of audio on the same app. I fired off a call in a known trouble-spot and it went through and held (the holding part being a major problem before the eSIM update).

I know others have said this did not help them but given that I appear to have better results, I think it's at least worth the exercise on Verizon. I will report back after more call activity.

Hi everyone, I contacted apple support and they are also not aware of this issue. They collected comprehensive Network log and asked mr to make a video when this happens and share with them. Also while on the call i showed them this thread and she said that everyone who is facing this issue should contact Apple customer service. Its very important that everyone report this internet drop issue.

No news yet but I was able to get a new eSIM installed from the Verizon App's chat support. Just quickly type in representative and get to a human and tell them that Apple suggested a new eSIM. Process takes a bit of time but way better to do at home than at a strip mall store. I won't be able to do the walking test until tomorrow though. I'm not too hopeful however based on a recent comment from someone else. At least I can say I did all the things at this point.

Looks like an issue with IOS 17 software apple really need to fix this . I brought 15PM and changed it 3 times but no luck i had to refund it at the end . You can try reset network settings etc which will help getting cellular data back but it will disappear again after some time especially if you connect to wifi and turn off wifi it never go back to cellular data . Shockingly i purchased the same fone for my Mrs on the same day and hers is fine

I have the same issue. I brought my unit to apple service center, and they diagnosed that my unit which was just 1 week old has a hardware issue. Unfortunately I was told that they cannot replace my unit since i bought it from a telco operator. Instead, they replaced everything inside, including batteries. So, probably the only thing new on my unit now is the case and the screen. So disappointed; not going to buy apple again, complete waste of money.

And the worst part is, I barely see any improvement with the signal streght.

I am suspecting, they throtlled down the signal transmit/receive power of the device to compensate for the overheating problem which they claim is resolved in the latest sw update. So, for those who may aleeady have weak signal coverage in their area will definitely notice the drop in signal level on their device.

My 13 and 14 had the same problem! With the 13, I tried almost everything and nothing worked (setting changes, hardware check, changed from SIM to eSIM, rebooted from new, we had recently upgraded WiFi, and called Verizon). And then I changed to iPhone 14. Still had the same problem, so I added T-Mobile as well to test that (2 eSIMs), but that didn’t work either (same issue with T-Mobil, and same issue while having two eSIMs).

Verizon sent me a network extender, which has been working! I now have 4 bars instead of 1 or 2 and all calls have come through, and no dropped outbound calls. Sometimes if I’ve been out, when I get home I’ll have 2 bars, but then I turn WiFi off and back on and there are 4 bars again.

My husbands phone, Android, worked fine before the Verizon network extender. So it seems to me that the issue is a software issue with iPhones.

I have the exact same issues as well. I also have an iPhone 14 that I use for work. Both are used on AT&T and the difference is mind blowing. On Wi-Fi my 15 Pro max paled in comparison to my 14. 15 Pro Max download speeds were 16.20, and 14 was 631.98. On just the AT&T network my 15 Pro Man wit one bar of 5G had download speed of 7.74 while my 14 with LTE 2 bars was 23.09. I also have connectivity issues with Bluetooth as well. While on Bluetooth people say I sound far away, calls drop with full reception and if I have full bars my phone turns into a paperweight, means data comes to a halt and people say the call sounds like it’s breaking up. If I test the data on my 14 with full 5G I get amazing fast speeds and no lag. Sounds like there is a big issues with the 15 pro max.

I found what appears to be a new menu location for Reset Network Settings.

Under Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

I clicked this and I think my iPhone 15 Pro is now connecting reliably to mobile data. I clicked Reset Network Settings two days ago. I do not believe I have lost 4G or 5G mobile data connection since then.

Fingers crossed. 🤞

Hey there! I'm sorry to hear about your connectivity issues with the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Here are a few quick tips:

  1. Check Network Coverage: Make sure you're in an area with good signal coverage.
  2. Update Carrier Settings: Ensure your carrier settings are up to date in Settings > General > About.
  3. Toggle Airplane Mode: Turn it on for 10-15 seconds and then off to reset the connection.
  4. Software Updates: Check for and install any available software updates.
  5. Contact Carrier: If issues persist, reach out to your carrier for assistance.
  6. Apple Support: Consider contacting Apple Support or visiting an Apple Store for further help.

Hopefully, one of these steps resolves the problem. If not, reaching out to your carrier or Apple Support should provide additional support. Good luck!

Im having issues as well. iPhone 15 Pro Max Hardly holds a 5G when my iPhone 13 Pro Max kept a signal. 5GUW is sporadic and can’t get anything except LTE the majority of the time.

Im with Verizon. Never had issues before this. I’ve contacted both apple and VZW. Apples advice was to reset iPhone from my make to see if IOS is corrupt. My Mac is older and it would have taken forever to complete. VZW changed my plan and still can’t get a good connection.

My 14 day return is up. I plan to go to Best Buy Saturday to see if they can run a diagnostic.

This has truly made me nutty. I live near a 5g tower and right now I only have LTE AND 2 bars.

I do have a free 90 day eSIM from T-Mobile. There’s been zero issue connecting to 5Guc. Guess I could switch, but I worry about coverage and data breaches.

🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

Hello all, as ist looks this problem occurs when you ever inserted an 2nd SIM-Card (or e-SIM) in one of your previous phones. It seems that the iPhone remembers that somewhere in the backups and it looks that this problem is typical for the iphone15 pro /Max. It does not occur when you set up your iPhone without an backup of your previous phone. As soon as i inserted a second mobile e-SIM by converting a simple pre-paid physical card into an e-sim (this process is supported by the iPhone itself) and additionally inserted my original card the problem disappeared. It would be interesting to know if that little trick fixes the problem in general.

I contacted apple in regards to my issues I was having and they said to me that they are phasing out 3G and the iPhone mainly runs on 4g 5g, where I live they don’t really have 5g which is why my signal is so terrible!

for my phone getting hit they said it’s the titanium sending the heat to the outside rather than keeping it inside to keep it away from the battery etc

my phone has been ok for a couple days but we will see I guess
