I changed from iPhone 11 to an iPhone 15. The same signal I used to have signal bars with fast internet and uninterrupted calls now can’t even load a web page.

the bars are still showing a signal. My new iPhone doesn’t care though.

it’s been an issue now for a week and a half. Now on top of all that - yesterday, I accidentally deleted my eSim. It wasn’t working anyway but still this problem Kees getting worse. And Physical SIM card totally no longer works at all. SOS now, hopeless.

contacted Optus. -On the chat everyday trying to fix it with them. Awful. I don’t have a phone number that works now. They have to send me the eSim of my original number (QR Code) out in the snail post, 5 working days.

Oh my Gawsh. What a disaster. When I reinstall the original eSim will this no working signal mystery be solved?? I had 3 or 4 bars at times just not working to load internet. I walked for 4 km in western Sydney and no change on multiple days. It was this very issue.

is this an eSim problem? And Apple iPhone 15 problem? Optus?

what’s going on? The people at the Optus were awful. They wouldn’t even let me cancel my plan. somehow I’m waiting on the QR code in the post.

I hope when I reinstall the original number and eSim I get some signal to open internet.

so much for a new iPhone 15. I bought it outright. I’m stuck in hospital.

so disappointed.

awful awful one and a half weeks .. this forum is the closest to what I’m going through. It’s actually pretty exact.

hope apple fixes it in new update.

I thought I was crazy when I switched from the 12 Pro Max to the 15 Pro Max but clearly not (you wouldn’t believe how many times I intentionally dropped that 12 before it took any damage just so I had an excuse to “upgrade”).

The 12 Pro Max was a tank. I used it all the time for Termius but now the 15 Pro Max can’t connect to those servers in places the 12 could.

I can also say I am not impressed with the iPhone 15 pro max. I have had a great deal of issues and absolute horrible cell service and tons of data dead spots. I had no issues at all on my iPhone 11 Pro. I am regretting spending $1400 on a new device to get worse features and satisfaction. I hope they can figure things out or I will switch back to what feels a more superior device, the iPhone 11 Pro. Very disappointed long time Apple customer.

Hi everyone, I contacted apple support and they are also not aware of this issue. They collected comprehensive Network log and asked mr to make a video when this happens and share with them. Also while on the call i showed them this thread and she said that everyone who is facing this issue should contact Apple customer service. Its very important that everyone report this internet drop issue.

It seems like Apple does not care about this issue.

I had this Network drop issue with my new iPhone 15 pro max 512 GB Manufactured in November 2023 and activated on 27th December 2023.

it was a bit strange for me as calls and SMS work fine but when I put my phone on 5G auto it could not keep a stable internet connection, it works fine if I put it on (5G on) or (4G). But then it Drains the battery faster.

So, after a long struggle with Apple and buying Apple Care+, I was suggested to Apply for ERS (Express Replacement Service) which I availed of and received a Bit strange device as a replacement.

It has the same Model number (Starting with M) as my original phone and was manufactured in July 2023, and activated in September 2023. However, Apple Senior Technical Support said this is a new device and was only tested in the factory for replacement devices.

However,

This new replacement device is having the same issue as mentioned above, I contacted Tech support again and they said they cannot do anything at this point as 2 devices cannot have the same problem. They asked me to test for like 24 or 48 hours and then again check with them but they cannot do anything more about it.

all other devices in the home are working pretty well with the same network (Vodafone) full signal Bars and no 5G internet connectivity issue. now I am stuck with this phone which cannot perform basic functionality.

Same Here, iPhone 15 Pro. This fix worked for me: I called my carrier, Verizon. They checked the "back end" of my service plan and found a Data Throttle attached to my account. They removed it right away, and didn't know how it got there. Restarted my phone. Cellular Data is working at the moment. How are we supposed to know this crap??

Feb 27, 2024 9:04 AM in response to mrokarkd250

Just went through this same issue on my i15 Pro Max and was able to resolve with some help from the carrier.

The issue appears to be the connection to the eSIM file being corrupted.

We went through the process of installing/reinstalling an eSIM several times, the carrier even issued a new eSim, the same continued to occur with no resolution. We finally spoke with a second tech support person at the phone company who suggested an additional step, instead of "resetting the eSim, he had us DELETE ALL eSIMS.

(Keep in mind that i15 Pro Max has "Dual eSims", so you can have more than one active eSIM installed).

Once we DELETED ALL eSims and the carrier issued a new eSim, things instantly began to work as they should.

Hope this helps someone.

Gary

Ive used a few iphones, went from android over to iphone 11, then 12, then 13PM and now 15PM. The 15PM is easily the worst, the 12 was the gold standard for me and the 13PM refined it. I had zero issues with iphone or ios until my 15PM where i get bad wifi reception, bad cellular reception, apps download slower sometimes even to a standstill, my phone keeps disconnecting from chargers and it wont work with carplay because it keeps disconnecting. Been into an apple store and they ran their diagnostic and basically said “we dont know sorry”

Extremely disappointed with the new iphone lineup

Considering how much money most of us have or, are going to shell out for this phone, it is unacceptable to have an issue of this magnitude continue for so long. I have had the issue since I purchased the phone in November. I also dropped my previous carrier because I thought “no way could it be my new $1,400 phone. Don’t get me started on the overheating which causes everything to freeze including my GPS! Do better Apple.
