Hey Stupidapplee,

It sounds like you have already performed most of the steps in If you see No Service, Searching, or SOS on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Just to make sure you cover all your bases, we recommend that you check for a carrier settings update and connect with your carrier to confirm expected coverage and any potential issues with your account or network.

Check for a Carrier Settings update
To manually check for and install a carrier settings update:
1. Make sure that your device is connected to a Wi-Fi or cellular network.
2. Tap Settings > General > About. If an update is available, you'll see an option to update your carrier settings.
3. To see the version of carrier settings on your device, tap Settings > General > About and look next to Carrier.
If you insert a new SIM card into your iPhone or iPad, you need to download the carrier settings for your new carrier.

If you're still experiencing issues with your cellular data connection and loading content, connect with Apple Support over the phone. They will typically have the best tools and resources to troubleshoot an issue with one of their products. You can set up a call from the Get Support portal in most countries.

Kindest Regards.

It seems like Apple does not care about this issue.

I had this Network drop issue with my new iPhone 15 pro max 512 GB Manufactured in November 2023 and activated on 27th December 2023.

it was a bit strange for me as calls and SMS work fine but when I put my phone on 5G auto it could not keep a stable internet connection, it works fine if I put it on (5G on) or (4G). But then it Drains the battery faster.

So, after a long struggle with Apple and buying Apple Care+, I was suggested to Apply for ERS (Express Replacement Service) which I availed of and received a Bit strange device as a replacement.

It has the same Model number (Starting with M) as my original phone and was manufactured in July 2023, and activated in September 2023. However, Apple Senior Technical Support said this is a new device and was only tested in the factory for replacement devices.

However,

This new replacement device is having the same issue as mentioned above, I contacted Tech support again and they said they cannot do anything at this point as 2 devices cannot have the same problem. They asked me to test for like 24 or 48 hours and then again check with them but they cannot do anything more about it.

all other devices in the home are working pretty well with the same network (Vodafone) full signal Bars and no 5G internet connectivity issue. now I am stuck with this phone which cannot perform basic functionality.

I am having these exact same issues. This is a cell phone tower that is right outside the building where I work. I should have full bars and uninterrupted service in this situation, but experience buffering and lagging load-up of app pages. Not only that, but coworkers of mine who have different phones (Motorola) on the same network have almost full signal INSIDE the building. Obviously, this is a device problem.

I have never used iPhone and I must say that this has left the worst impression of Apple products upon me. I simply don't understand why people have always tried to convince me of how great they are, because between my device experience, and the iOS experience, I hate iPhone.

I have been trying to diagnose the overwhelming quality issues with calls and internet service on AT&T with an iPhone 15 pro Max. I spent countless hours complaining to AT&T who eventually referred me to Apple. Apples said everything is fine. However, i have to repeat myself t about 20 callers per day, i get call failed dozens of times a day and calls drop about 10 times per day. Additionally, , i have data issues on VOIP, skype and whatsapp. The map constantly puts my in some place far from where i am which confuses instructions and i miss turns. Meanwhile, my wife is using an iPhone 14 Pro Max and is next to me without any of the same issues. Finally, AT&T admitted that the new IPhone 15 has an eSIM and that seems to be the problem. I am downgrading to a 14 to see if my problems are resolved. I will keep everyone updated

There has been multiple instances where the cell service completely fails. I am without any type of cell service. Verizon isn’t experiencing any outages as my friends who have Verizon, but not the iPhone 15, aren’t experiencing what I’m experiencing. I’m the only one with the IPhone 15 pro max. However, my sister does have the iPhone 15 pro max as well and she faces the same loss of cell service.

so does her husband who has the same iPhone model. So do the ladies in her office.

THERE NEEDS to be a recall on iPhone 15 devices! This issue has persisted since October of last year.

i currently still cannot make a phone call. But my internet has returned.

My wife is having the same issue as you! We also switched from the iPhone13PM to the 15PM.

I have no had any issues however, she is saying that her signal drops and says “SOS” at the top of her screen.

she then has to reboot in order to regain service.

I am going to contact my carrier to see if there’s anything they can do on their end.

I will keep you posted as to what the resolution is! If you find a solution, would you be willing to post it here as well?

Thanks! 😊

I used a prepaid card from the same carrier i usually have. i did not fully deactivate the second e-SIM but switched the reception of it off.

Never change a running system. I have no idea if the phone falls back into a malfunction if i would fully remove the prepaid e-SIM which is now in my phone. Does that answer you question?

A side effect of this operation is, that the 5G and 4G reception is not only more stable it's remarkably stronger than ever before, even stronger than in my iPhone 13 Pro MAX.

By the way: I was again in the apple store today , and they confirmed that they made a bug-report to the software development. It may be that they fix the problem with one of the next IoS releases.

Furious. My dog’s very expensive tracker was lost in the countryside. My I phone 15 phone could get ZERO signal, so I couldn’t find the tracker. My other half has an I phone 14 and had little or no issues. Granted there’s not a great signal there, but I didn’t buy a new phone for it to perform worse than the previous model. All I could get was that the server stopped responding. We both have the same provider.

Started happening on my 11 a few months ago, and is consistent in how frequently it drops signal, sometimes entirely and will even stop searching after about 30 seconds. Have to constantly toggle airplane mode or any setting that disrupts/resets the network. After some research I realized the exact same issue has been plaguing hundreds of people all the way back to 2019. Apple does not care. They’ll give you the same routine advice needed for resolving connectivity issues outside of your coverage area, which is not the case. Oh well. At least we have annual new models to buy, and have those screw up too.

I am encountering a similar issue with my iPhone on the Jio Network. When I use the same SIM card in my Android phone, I consistently receive a full signal strength. However, my Apple 15 Pro MAX struggles with just one bar, and sometimes, it loses network connectivity altogether at my home.

Recently, I visited the Apple service center to address this problem. After conducting some diagnostics, they identified a reception issue and informed me that my iPhone needed to be sent to the Apple service center in Bangalore, India. During this process, they removed my $30 screen guard and $20 camera guard lens.

After two days, the Apple service center in Bangalore received my phone. However, shortly after, the service status changed to "Couldn't duplicate issue." They returned the iPhone to the authorized service center near me, and I strongly suspect that the underlying problem remains unresolved. Now, not only do I still face the reception issue, but I've also lost my $30 screen guard and $20 camera guard.

At this point, I am unwilling to collect my phone unless the service center rectifies the problem. It's disheartening to feel that a Chinese mobile phone costing just $100 outperforms my Apple iPhone. Purchasing this iPhone has become a regrettable decision in my life.

Apparently there is a chance that Apple might have not calculated the fact that Titanium blocks cell phone tower signals. Since the antenna is internal. I am running into the same issues, just switched from a 14 pro to a 15 pro max. I’ve done everything suggested which should fix the problem. To no avail. Just updated to the newest IOS 17.3.1, hoping that the last software might had a glitch. If that’s not the case, I am returning my iPhone 15 pro max tomorrow since I just bought the new phone 3 days ago. Nothing but problems so far.
