How to use Apple Watch without phone
I want to still be able to use my Apple Watch even tho my phone no longer supports it

The Apple Watch needs an iPhone.
Either directly paired to your iPhone.
Or in a degraded mode as a dependent child's Apple Watch where a parent's iPhone controls it. Also the cellular plan is more expensive than direct pairing. And since the Apple Watch does not have an iPhone of its own, it cannot use some iPhone features, which is why it is degraded.
