Assuming you're now using Apple Music on your newest computer....
Save the music file to your computer (e.g. save it to your Desktop)
Launch Music-->File menu-->Import
Choose the file you saved to your desktop
The song is now in your Apple Music library.

I usually use the tools available in Apple Mail to save the file. Attached is what my mail program looks like. If I put the cursor between the list of emails on the top and the selected email preview on the bottom, some tools are revealed. Click on the far right tool to save the file. (See the highlighted oval area).
How do I get it to my desktop? Dragging it is not working. It's coming in as a line with controls to start and stop the song, but does not respond to dragging or clicking. I can play the song, but I have to have access to that particular email. On my older computer it comes in as a file that I have been able to download by double clicking on it.
Thanks for all your help. I guess that I do have Apple Mail with my AOL. I clicked on that "sweet spot" that you mentioned by accident and the icon for download came up. Was finally able to download the song. Would never have gotten it had you not given me your suggestions.
Thanks again!!!!
I have AOL - I have some of the same icons you have, but have no idea where to click to have that little section pop up. Will keep trying - sigh!
Ah...I'm guessing you're using AOL webmail, not Apple Mail? The screenshot I provided is from Apple Mail (which, by the way, you COULD use with your AOL email address).
Glad I was able to help.
You might want to click on Solved, Best answer...or something to that effect so others can see the issue was resolved (In case someone has the same question).
