iPhone 15 pro max blurry portrait photos
iphone user since day 1. Always upgrade each year but this is the first time I’ve ever wanted to downgrade.
I upgraded from the 14 pro max to the 15 pro max. I take photos regularly of my kiddo and photos as a hobby. I was testing out the portrait mode and discovered that the quality on the 15 pro max is terrible.
tested out my wife’s 14 pro max and my 15 pro max.
- same distance/lighting everything.
- default camera settings on both phones.
finally got a chance to go to apple. Had issues where they couldn’t restore my phone so Ended up giving a new phone and set it up as new with current iOS. Took the phone home and still, same crappy photos from 15 pro max. it’s almost like the focus won’t focus.

about 15 seconds apart no distance change, lighting change or anything- only removed two items away from main item in photo.
