How can I secure my latest transaction on wallet?

To secure my bank information, including transaction history, card balance, and Apple savings account, I need an additional passcode for my wallet, apart from the one used to unlock my phone. This prevents unauthorized access if my phone is unlocked. Is their a functions that allows this action?

iPhone 11, iOS 15

Yes, there is a function that allows you to add an additional passcode for your wallet, apart from the one used to unlock your phone. This is called a "wallet passcode" or "wallet lock." When you enable this feature, you will be prompted to enter the passcode whenever you open the wallet app, even if your phone is already unlocked. This adds an extra layer of security to your wallet and helps to protect your financial information.

To enable a wallet passcode on your iPhone, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap on Wallet & Apple Pay.
  3. Tap on [Your Card].
  4. Tap on Require Passcode.
  5. Enter a six-digit passcode and then enter it again to confirm.

Once you have enabled the wallet passcode, you will be prompted to enter it whenever you open the wallet app. You can also change the passcode at any time by following the same steps.

In addition to enabling a wallet passcode, there are a few other things you can do to secure your wallet transactions:

  • Use strong passwords and PINs. Make sure your passwords and PINs are at least eight characters long and include a mix of upper and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.
  • Avoid using public Wi-Fi networks. Public Wi-Fi networks are often unsecure, so it's best to avoid making transactions on them. If you must use public Wi-Fi, make sure you have a VPN installed on your device.
  • Be careful about what apps you install. Only install apps from trusted sources, and be careful about the permissions you grant to apps.
  • Keep your software up to date. Make sure your phone's operating system and wallet app are up to date. This will help to protect you from the latest security vulnerabilities.
