Can’t reset password
Can’t reset password. When I try to reset it, my screen on system preferences gets white and freezes

Which password are you trying to reset?
Resetting a User's Password:
Other than through System Preferences, you might be able t change the User Password through the login screen. You'd go through your Apple ID to perform this. Find out more here: If you Forgot your Mac Login Password - Apple Support. Make sure that caps lock is not enabled when typing it.
