Noise threshold notifications do not appear on watch

Noise threshold notifications do not appear on my watch. They do appear in the health app (viewed on the phone) after the fact, and the noise measurements do work, so the watch appears to be working fine.

This has been an issue for the past watchOS and iOS, and remains an issue after updating to the latest versions.

I’ve also tried restarting both watch and phone, but the behaviour remains the same.

Any ideas how to solve this?

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. Have you verified the settings for noise notifications on your Apple Watch? This is a step that may help and here's how to do that:

Get noise notifications

1. Open the Settings app on your Apple Watch.

2. Go to Noise > Noise Notifications, then choose a setting.

You can also open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, tap My Watch, then go to Noise > Noise Threshold.

Hello Jiraffe_7,

If you have completed the steps offered above and still have the issue, you may want to try to unpair and repair the Apple Watch with the iPhone, to see if this help to correct the issue. Before erasing all content and settings on your Apple Watch, your iPhone automatically creates a new backup of the Apple Watch. To learn how to unpair, look here: Unpair and erase your Apple Watch - Apple Support.

Once that has been done, you'll want to follow the steps on this page to set up your Apple Watch again: Set up your Apple Watch - Apple Support.

Hi,

I have the relevant settings set for noise notifications, both on the watch settings and the watch app on the phone. And to reiterate, the health app reflects that a noise notification occurred at some point in the past, just that there is no notification on the watch at the point where the threshold has exceeded.
