problem with affinity photo app after updating to sonoma14.0

problem with affinity software(photo, designer, publisher) after updating to sonoma 14.0.

Macbook Pro silicon M1.

Cannot search the affinity in-app offline help files as before update to Sonoma, the help files are available but the search feature does not work.

Contacted Affinity, they said the problem was with Sonoma, they said the search feature was done by the operating system not the app, and was something Apple would need to address.

Other users of the affinity software report same problem.

Note: The search feature in Affinity apps worked fine with previous Mac OS and still works on current PC/windows.

Anyone have any helpful info or ideas?

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 14.0

Affinity's help in Monterey…

I installed BBEdit in Sonoma and neither works. At least "All Other Help" works from Affinity's help window on Sonoma.

I agree the solution is Apple and Affinity must work together to solve this. Soon i hope.

To be honest, I doubt it's Apple's issue. But, it's not impossible. I checked to see if I had any third-party apps installed with the same help setup. No such luck.

Sorry i was unclear

Wacom, VLC and a few other apps do have some issues, unrelated to help files, after update to OS14.

I expect app developers and Apple will release updates as needed.

No problem. I don't have a Wacom tablet but, I don't seem to be having an issue with VLC 3.0.19.

FWIW, you or anyone else is not going to be able to fix it other than Affinity or Apple. I would not waste your time trying to resolve it.

FWIW, the Affinity apps are now at version 2.3.1. They work in Sonoma. Can't speak to the 1.0 versions.
