How can I use Forecasting function in Numbers?

In Excel, there is a function called Forecast sheet. This is for producing possible forecasts of a trend in the revenue of a company. Unfortunately, the Mac version lacks this function but I saw that Numbers also has a Forecast function but I can't find it. Could anybody help where it is or if it is named differently, what is it called?

Thanks a lot.

It's called FORECAST but I'm not sure it's what you expect.

From Numbers's function definition:

The FORECAST function returns the forecasted y value for a given x based on sample values using linear regression analysis.

Open the Format sidebar with the paintbrush in the toolbar. Type = in a cell and the list of functions will fill the sidebar. FORECAST is in the Statistical category. Obviously it bears another name if your sheet is not using English, which you can change in the File / Advanced menu.
