Fix for Missing ITUNES Icon on Desktop

These steps worked for me:

Go to FILE EXPLORER (the yellow folder icon that may be on

your task bar or elsewhere on your desktop). Click the icon.

When the FILE EXPLORER screen opens, go to the top right

corner search bar that may read “HOME” and type “itunes” in the search bar.

Click to start the search, if it does not automatically populate ITUNES files.

If ITUNES is installed on your computer, you will see many ITUNES

files now listed.

Go to the top right of this screen of listings and slightly

minimize the screen. Use your mouse to move the screen so that your desktop

underneath is now seen.

Go back to the FILE EXPLORER screen and right click your

ITUNES LIBRARY file with the ITUNES music note symbol. Drag that file onto your

desktop.

Voila! You now have the ITUNES icon on your desktop.

EXTRA TIP -- You can use this search-drag-drop method for many

other files on your computer that you want to appear on your desktop.

Windows, Windows 10
