Before iOS 17 I could dictate individual numbers by saying,
"One" and it would transcribe as "one"
or by saying,
"Numeral one" and it would transcribe as "1"
But since upgrading to iOS 17, the numeral trick no longer works.
How can I get iOS 17 to dictate numerals?
Note: it does seem to dictate larger numbers as numerals automatically, but that doesn't help me.

Basically you can to switch between command mode or spelling mode or dictation mode. Although it is pretty awkward and there is a delay.
Same here...was using the "numeral" trick to dictate numbers and they took it away! Also, I bought an old MacBook to try a Logic Pro free trial. Then I decided to buy Logic Pro, but found out they had discontinued it the day before. So I cannot use logic pro on my refurbished MacBook that is running perfectly

I have the exact same problem. In order to get numbers one through nine. I have to say 11, 22, 33, etc. and then backspace. Saying numeral before numbers is one through nine no longer works. I’ve tried all the suggestions of eliminating keyboards and so forth and nothing works. Have you found a solution? I have four iOS devices and none of them work anymore.

Has anyone ever found answer why iOS 17 STOPPED allowing the "numerical trick" to type single digit numbers like "1" or "7" while "dictatating" or using "speech text"?? Formerly we could simply say "numeral one" or "numeral 7" to get the desired digit in the type.
Someone asked where this was happening?? iPhone 6, 11,12 running iOS17 using Siri, or microphone for text messages, email, gmail, and any other app where the iPhone keyboard appears.
This is a real nuisance for older folks with years of dictation experience and aging fingers.
Any HELP would be appreciated. New iOS rollouts seem to always ruin previuosly established good funtions

Where are you attempting to dictate the numbers? In a message or email or on the Web? I don’t have that problem. Are you using Siri or dictation via the microphone icon?
I'm using the microphone icon in the keyboard. The results are consistent with any app.
Having the same problem. In Notes app on iOS 17.
In the Notes app, in Messages, in email, pretty much anywhere.
I see that nobody has found a fix to this yet. Has anybody heard anything from Apple as to why this is happening?
