Call blocking is not working
iPhone12 updated to the latest iOS.
A particular company (that I am in dispute with) is calling me at all times of the day and night, 7 days a week. I know who they are and therefore added them to my contacts so I know not to answer. I also blocked them - using the setting at the bottom of the contact I'd just created. I checked the blocked numbers list and it was listed there.
Sure enough they call again couple of hours later. I go into the contact and lo and behold, the number has unblocked itself. I block it again and the cycle keeps on over and over and over. Each time the number disappears from the blocked numbers list until I manually block it again.
I also tried blocking a friends number and then asking them to call me; we got exactly the same result i.e. my block was completely ignored and that number "unblocked" itself in my contacts.
I'm irritated that the only way I can stop these calls coming through is to put my phone on Do Not Disturb or turn it off - neither of which I want to do. I'm seriously considering reverting to an old Android phone purely so I can block calls, until this situation is over.
I've spent hours on support chat and phone, and we go over the same things over and over again, but no-one can ever help. Come on Apple, being able to block callers is a basic function. Anyone else having this issue or can shed any light on it?
