Change trusted phone number on account

I restored my phone but had changed the phone number from my Verizon service a few months ago. After restore it asked my Apple ID and password… I did, then it asked to enter my trusted phone number and I entered my number but the system doesn’t recognize my new number

Sign in to your Apple ID account page and edit / update your Apple ID details -> https://appleid.apple.com

(Sidebar) Click Personal Information -> Reachable at -> then edit / update your 'new' trusted phone number.
