Why does Apple offer no senior discount?

Why do you charge seniors more than others?


I'd like to add Apple Music but you expect me to pay as much as a family of 5 (for the off-chance that my clueless husband may accidentally sign on one day). WiFi and cell service is sketchy many places that I drive, so I have purchased at least 10,000 songs since 2005 and am already paying for iTunes Match. I also pay for Apple TV+, iCloud 200gb. Why don't you offer a senior price or family of 2 price? Why do I have to pay as much as a family with teens just so that I can occasionally stream music in the car when there is a signal?

Seems like there may be some confusion.


  1. This is a user to user forum. You are not addressing Apple here. We are not charging you for anything.
  2. If you already subscribe to iTunes Match, then you can stream your own music while in the car. You don't need to subscribe to Apple Music.
  3. If you do want to subscribe to Apple Music so someone else can use it, you can cancel iTunes Match entirely.
  4. 2 Individual Apple Music subscriptions will still be cheaper than one iTunes Match subscription and offer the same features and access to the Apple Music catalog additionally.
  5. The Apple Music Family Plan, is still cheaper than iTunes Match by almost $10.
  6. There is no smaller Family plan though.
