Turn off auto enhance on Instagram iPhone 15 Pro etc.

I think I figured out a solution. Instagram is preset to not upload at highest quality unless that option is turned on. Go to settings “media quality” and turn that setting on. The filters on Instagram should then work.

Hi everyone, I’m also experiencing this issue, and here’s a solution: Go to Settings > Camera > Formats > and turn on Apple ProRaw. That's it! Then, start taking photos in RAW mode (the button is on the top right corner). After the photo is taken, you may still see auto enhancement when viewing it, but if you start editing the photo—such as adjusting exposure or contrast—you’ll notice the enhancement is gone.

I only use this method when I want to take a photo seriously. You can also export the RAW file to a computer without the enhancement. Hope this helps!

This photo is taken by 15x zoom condition, the default camera has an AI-generated aesthetic and the words appear to be processed and fused together :(

I searched a few forum sites and I think I found the solution. Before uploading photos, turn your iPhone into low power mode. it really works.

Putting my iPhone 15 Pro Max in Low Power Mode worked for me too. thank you.

I found this happening with my iPhone 11 repeatedly and now on my 15. Insta applies this dreamy washed out filter to all photos posted and there is no overcoming it. Ill delete Insta on my phone, give it a few days, and lets see...

My photo got automatically saturated ( kind of pinkish filter) before posting it . I am using iPhone 15 pro .. I don’t know whether it will be resolved in upcoming updates. Putting in low power mode also works for me , but it’s weird !!!

Just got my new iphone 15 pro and have tried all the hacks...lower power mode, most compatible mode (so camera takes jpegs and not HEIF), reinstalled Instagram. Currently I recently logged out of IG and reinstalled it and logged back in and so far my photos don't end up all blurry and pixalated. Weird that everyone says low power mode works or solves it but it didn't for me??? Also weird that all the pics look fine while I'm editing in IG but once I go to upload and add a caption it becomes blurry and pixalated!!! Looks horrendous! Any new ideas? I kinda want my old iphone 8 back lol!

I am experiencing the same issue! iPhone 15 ProMax is not a good investment. You look ugly on selfies, like your face is dirty even though it's not and I hate the auto enhance feature on instagram.

did someone figure out how to turn that off?

I’m also having this issue but only with my public instagram account. My photos don’t auto enhance on my private account. I can’t find out why or a fix for this!

Same issue here. All latest versions. Same photo works fine on iPhone 14 Pro but not 15 pro …
