Turn off auto enhance on Instagram iPhone 15 Pro etc.

I just received the iPhone 15 Pro. I am finding the macro function does a lot of camera switching and takes blurry shots which is super frustrating, but what is more frustrating is that I can't seem to post any photos to Instagram without automatic photo enhancement. As soon as I select a photo from my library, it is auto enhanced leading to unnatural colors and blow out mostly. They look terrible. I turned off HDR and did all of the tricks suggested for taking photos, but can't seem to figure this one out. Also, any macro suggestions are appreciated. We compared my macro shots with my husbands iPhone 13 and his are much better. Any ideas?

It sounds like you're really running into some frustrating issues with the iPhone 15 Pro, especially with the macro mode and Instagram's auto-enhancement. For the macro shots, one suggestion would be to turn off the auto-macro feature in settings. Sometimes, the constant switching between lenses leads to the camera struggling to lock focus. You can also try manually adjusting focus in the Camera app to see if that helps reduce the blur.

As for Instagram's auto-enhancement, it's strange that turning off HDR and the usual tricks haven’t worked. Some users have found that exporting the image through another app before uploading can bypass Instagram's enhancements. You could try editing in an app like Snapseed or Lightroom first, save it, and then post on Instagram. A best app to enhance photos is the latest version of Remini MOD APK. I use it very often.

It's also interesting to hear your husband’s iPhone 13 is performing better in macros. The 13's camera might handle close-up focusing more smoothly, whereas the iPhone 15 Pro may still have kinks to work out in the software. Hopefully, Apple will push an update soon!

Hi everyone, I’m also experiencing this issue, and here’s a solution: Go to Settings > Camera > Formats > and turn on Apple ProRaw. That's it! Then, start taking photos in RAW mode (the button is on the top right corner). After the photo is taken, you may still see auto enhancement when viewing it, but if you start editing the photo—such as adjusting exposure or contrast—you’ll notice the enhancement is gone.

I only use this method when I want to take a photo seriously. You can also export the RAW file to a computer without the enhancement. Hope this helps!

This photo is taken by 15x zoom condition, the default camera has an AI-generated aesthetic and the words appear to be processed and fused together :(

Just got my new iphone 15 pro and have tried all the hacks...lower power mode, most compatible mode (so camera takes jpegs and not HEIF), reinstalled Instagram. Currently I recently logged out of IG and reinstalled it and logged back in and so far my photos don't end up all blurry and pixalated. Weird that everyone says low power mode works or solves it but it didn't for me??? Also weird that all the pics look fine while I'm editing in IG but once I go to upload and add a caption it becomes blurry and pixalated!!! Looks horrendous! Any new ideas? I kinda want my old iphone 8 back lol!
