Creating backgrounds or soft focus

I need to submit lessons from my iMac using Quick Time Player. My background is my stove, not classy. I want to add a background or blur the background. I have searched for answers but not finding the results I need. I use an iMac. Can I do it with what I have or will I need a different program, which I am willing to use, if it's easy. HELP please.

Remove Background in Quick Actions Hi everyone. I have updated my mac IOS to Ventura and loved the new remove background function accessed through quick action in preview. However, after a week of using it, I needed to remove background on two files. Hence, I pressed remove background for both filed almost simultaneously. Did not wait for one file to be completed before starting the other. I think that caused some kind of a bug and now whenever I press "remove background" my computer makes a sound as if the action is done but the new file does not appear. I have tried to re-start my mac and even updated the IOS once again after "remove background" stopped working but the issue is not fixed. Can anyone recommend what to do in this case? Thanks!

Backgrounds are only working on the first clip in my iMovie project. I need to be able to add backgrounds to all the clips. Help! I am creating a video compilation for our museum galleries. All of the clips were shot vertically for a different purpose but they will be viewed horizontally in the gallery. I am attempting to put a background on each clip, but it will only allow me to put a background on the first clip. How can I put a background behind each clip?

iMovie for macOS - Blur a Video (Gaussian Blur) In iMovie for macOS, how do I blur a video (something like a "Gaussian Blur"-effect)? I have an actor in front of a green screen keyed out, and a moving beach background video recording as a background. I want to blur the beach background video to simulate a constant out-of-focus (shallow depth of field) effect on the beach background, while keeping the actor in focus. How do I do this in iMovie version 10.3.9?

If you meant a movie recording using the front-facing camera, then QuickTime Player is not the app to allow virtual backgrounds for this. If you have a green screen background, then you can replace green with anything else in iMovie. Else look at third party software. I don’t have any particular recommendation, though.
