Sponsored (ad) links suddenly won’t open with any browser on iPhone XR.

Out of the blue all sponsored links won’t open on my iPhone XR. Which is very frustrating because when you try to shop online almost all links are blocked. I have tried everything I can find suggested online. Turned off all adblockers, did factory reset on phone, etc.

When I try to open the links a similar error message comes up in safari and chrome and regular google browser. Have spent hours trying to solve.

Is there anything I can do?? Will they help me fix it if I take it to an Apple Store?

Any suggestions appreciated.🙏

I somehow just solved this. Realized I had not deleted Adblock and another security type of phone ‘cleaner’ app from my phone. Had Adblock turned off but perhaps it was still causing somehow. So relieved!! 😅

I finally figured out what blocked my ads.

I also made all the changes recommended for Safari to no avail.

How I finally solved it was to go to SETTINGS > GENERAL > VPN & DEVICE MANAGEMENT

There I noticed some VPN settings that blocked ads. I deleted them all and BOOM! I can now open Google sponsored ads.

Go to SETTINGS > GENERAL > VPN & DEVICE MANAGEMENT, under Restrictions and Proxies, click on the DNS name and set it to Automatic.

This should solve the issue.

I can not access any Sponsored sites. It say Safari can not connect with the server.
