Hearing aids disconnect from Bluetooth on iPhone 15 Pro anytime I receive a phone call?

i have Bluetooth on and it’s paired with my hearing aids. Nice feature. However, when I receive a phone call, Bluetooth is disconnected from my hearing aids. Then the only way I can hear the person calling is to turn the speakers on in my iPhone 15 PRO on iOS 17.0.3. Plus, I have to turn my phone off and back on to pair them again with my hearing aids.

Hello rjohn0329,

Let's use the steps below to get your iPhone updated to the latest iOS 17.1:

1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.
5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.

You can also find those steps in this resource: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support Updating should help to isolate a potential software conflict.

Should that behavior still persist, you'll want to reach out to Apple Support: Apple Support They'll be in the best position to look into this further.

Take care.

I guess I failed to mention I have had my hearing aids for nearly two years now and have had no problems with connections to my iPhones. There’s never been any compatibility issues and I am quite familiar with the pairing routine. But, since upgrading to the 15 PRO running 17.0, I have had disconnects when calls come in. I have had very loud static happening when I open a text message but not everytime. Last evening when I received a text message they squealed real loud. Something has definitely changed for the worse.
