Why does Bluetooth audio to my hearing aids drop off when I answer the call?

My hearing aids are paired with my phone and listed as connected in Settings under My devices on Bluetooth. I hear the call signal on my hearing aids and voice message drops to earpiece on phone when I answer call.

Increasing microphone volume on iPhone 15 with hearing aids connected via Bluetooth My hearing aids are connected to my iPhone 15 via Bluetooth, but with Bluetooth on nobody can hear me on calls! How can I increase my microphone volume and keep my hearing aids connected? My iPhone streams calls directly to my hearing aids via Bluetooth - which is great because I can actually hear people on the phone! However, they can't hear me... I have to turn bluetooth off for them to be able to hear me which means I can't hear them in my hearing aids. Any advice would be most gratefully received. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

When using my Bluetooth hearing aids the microphone dees not work during phone calls. I have to manually set it to speaker or iPhone for anyone to hear speak. My microphone does not work during phone conversations when connected to my Bluetooth hearing aids

Because your hearing aids do not have a microphone, so the iPhone moves audio to the phone. If you tap on Audio on the Phone screen can you select your hearing aids?
